Long Day
I had another very long day today. It started out at my first job, then I ended up going to a meeting at Goodwill for the second. I got home around 9 pm, ate dinner, watched Naruto with Jarrod, and then some Court TV. I'm an addict with those crime shows.
Today's meeting was very interesting. I am consistently impressed with the kind of work people do in Pomona in order to help those who are in need. Every time I feel touched by their works, though, I come back to people who seem to want to snap me back into reality. I guess it's good and bad, because I know I would give and give and give if given the chance, and perhaps more than I can afford to. I see this girl I work with who volunteers to every cause that walks her way - and most of them she doesn't even care about - and it makes her so active she never gets any rest. I don't think that's wise. At very least, one should care about what they devote their time to. I'm sure there's got to be some activity-addicted sheep out there, but whenever I do something simply for the sake of doing it I get bored and feel empty and want to go home.
There's a lot going on but I think I'm brain-powered out for the night.
