It appears to have been a long time since i posted. I've decided to take the fellowship at the DMC. Jarrod and I are trying trimspa because if it worked for Anna Nicole, lord knows it could work for us. But we got it off of ebay instead of the site because it was too damn expensive through them.

I'm copying this from Jarrod's site because it explains it well and I don't feel like retelling the story:

"I didn't post here about our little adventure this past week, so here goes. On thursday, we took meadow to the vet. We noticed wednsday night that she was missing a large patch of hair, and figured we should probably get it checked out. The vet said we needed to leave her there for the day so they could do tests and all other fun stuff (nail trimming, ear cleaning, stuff like that), so we did.

Fast forward to several hours later... Karen picks her up and brings her home. I then get a somewhat worried call from her saying that meadow has balance problems, and that her left eye isn't opening up all the way. I call over to the vet's office and ask what the hell they did to my cat, and I'm informed that apparently meadow is having an allergic reaction to the ear cleaning chemical. It's nothing to worry about, but we need to bring her in first thing friday morning.

We bring her in, and the vet explains that because of the reaction, her ear canal is inflamed. The inflamation is then pressing on the nerve that goes to the front of her face, causing problems with her eye. She's also got some breathing problems because of an inflamation of her throat due to this stuff.

Now here we are, several days later. We've been giving her some medication and for the most part she's doing better... but I just have to ask, if there's a reasonably high percentage of animals that are allergic to this stuff, why continue to use it????"
